Dreamy nights

Ava: "Mommy, I didn't have any bad dreams last night!"

Mommy: "Oh good, I'm glad to hear that honey."

Ava (wide-eyed): "I had a good dream last night."

Mommy: "Really. What was your dream about?"

Ava (shrugging her shoulders): "Oh, I don't remember...it was a looong story."

Daddy/Daughter Valentine's Dance

Daddy took his princess to the ball last night until the stroke of midnight.  She said she will cherish each moment of the night for the rest of her life :)

I've been asked if I find being a stay- at- home- mom (SAHM) to be sacrificial.  Of course I do.  Is it worth it? Without a DOUBT!

Christmas Morning 2011

I know it just doesn't seem right to post something from Christmas in FEBRUARY, because
it's just sooo yesterday :) But I love the excitement on the Mateo's face that I just couldn't resist.

Words I never thought I would hear come out of my mouth

With a preschooler & toddler in the house, there is never a dull moment. Our job as parents is to love, protect, and of course instruct them. Today in yet another teachable moment, I couldn't finish the sentence without bursting into laughter. Of course, this sent the kids rolling into an all-out hysterical belly laugh also. I thought it would be fun to share with you my favorite of the week.

"Kids, we don't put pom poms between our bum cheeks!!!"
